Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and writer, best known as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The stage debut of her career started in the 1950s with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Then she appeared in several Broadway productions before she became an international star with Li'l Abner in 1957. The singer also released her debut album of music, It's Time For Tina that same year. Louise was first seen on the screen in Hollywood as God's Little Acre a drama released in 1958. She was Griselda who was a character from the movie. While in New York, Louise enrolled at Actors Studio and began her relationships and friendship with Lee Strasberg. In 1964, she signed with CBS and played Ginger Grant. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood as well as Broadway in roles that were more serious to counter her image of glamorous doll.
